‘Sup, ya’ll!
Long time since I’ve been here (thanks for the kick in the ass, Kine! :) ) I *was* gonna update yesterday as well, but the damn modem/router died at home, so I’m “borrowing” some time from work to post a little.. hehe.. Hopefully there will be a replacement router tomorrow or something..
Anywhoo…. I wanted to have a look at the planes of the face and practice a little edge control as well as going for a light valuerange.. I’m prone to going for pretty dark schemes/contrasts so I switched it up to see how it felt :) I did a portrait of my better half (worked like a charm working after better ref. if you’re lookin’ hon’!) ;) oh.. and I tried to keep it sorta painterly.. All of this was made with one of the standard spatterbrushes in PS, opacity to pen pressure. The brush kinda makes more traditional brush marks… Not too apparent in the downsized web version, but hey..

I’m throwing in a couple of chimps I’ve done recently as well… gotta love chimps :D A tracuer chimp and a mob chimp (I’m partial to the mob chimp myself, even though I realize the traceur is a lot more dynamic and whatnot… but the mob chimp *has* the bowler hat and tommygun going for him.. haha.. )

Anyways… to those of you lookin’; I appreciate you dropping by! Shoot me a line, and I’ll get back to you!
peace
